Rig site duties - carry out daily reports, temperature readings every hour and day to day running of OSSO mud coolers, also to include rig surveying, rigging up & down of equipment, operating, and speaking daily to client and all relevant rig personnel to ensure smooth running of operations. Note, all the above as per OSSO`s QHSE policies and procedures.
Workshop duties – carry out equipment maintenance on all OSSO equipment as per OSSO`s QHSE policies and procedures and ensuring company documentation is updated as required. Ensure equipment is correct and accounted for when mobilising to client locations. Where required assist Service Manager to maintain the safe, timely and within budget completion of any project.
KEY ACTIVITIES & TASKS
Learn and understand the rental equipment OSSO supply (training will be provided theoretical and practical)
Assist the service manager in project managing any OSSO rental fleet including liaising with suppliers and clients
Maintain asset certification files
Ensure certification documents for offshore rental projects are completed
Assist where required with current equipment modifications
Safety Awareness – All OSSO equipment
Assist the Operations Department with any other required tasks where required
Attend all training courses provided
Follow company procedures
Communication with staff members
Any other duties the line manager deems necessary
TRAINING & COMPETENCE
To attend any required training in order to be deemed competent
Complete company-set competency record
HEALTH & SAFETY
Adhere to OSSO’s QHSE policies and procedures
Contribute to OSSO’s and any rig safety card system
Personal Specification
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION
Mechanical engineering, fluent in English - speaking & writing (Arabic speaking would also be advantageous), offshore qualified
SKILLS
Client communication, report writing, competent with computer programs – Excel and Word, ability to problem solve, confident working independently and as part of a team, ability to use own Initiative.
KNOWLEDGE
Good rig knowledge of mud systems and drilling activities. Good mechanical practices and rig site management.
