Fluid Analysis

Fluid Analysis

Originating from many sources, waste streams vary widely in composition and physical properties.

The starting point of every separation process is to understand the composition of these waste streams, these can be:

  • Contaminated Waters — Produced water, slops, oily waters, completion fluids
  • Contaminated Fuels — Bunkered diesel fuels, day tanks
  • Contaminated Oils — Hydraulic oils, lube oils, refinery oil sludges

At OSSO, our in-house technicians have decades of expertise and knowledge to propose a laboratory testing programme ahead of the design and optimisation of the separation process. Laboratory testing routinely carried out includes, but is not limited to:

  • % Suspended solids
  • Particle size distribution
  • Oil-in-waters
  • pH
  • H2S
  • BOD (biochemical oxygen demand)
  • COD (chemical oxygen demand)

With the analysis results as our starting point, we can then test the waste streams in our laboratory centrifuges.
