Provide technical support to the sales team whilst running and maintaining the in house laboratory. The suitable candidate will have a proven track record of working within the environmental sector and have extensive knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management techniques.

KEY ACTIVITIES & TASKS

Providing technical support to the onshore division responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Provide technical leadership for process orientated activities and support the Technical Sales team in the development of solutions as appropriate

Manage in-house technical laboratory and undertake/devise appropriate testing regimes to strengthen the development of solutions and enable process R&D activities to be undertaken

Providing technical support to the sales teams by reviewing client-derived chemical test data and associated site investigation studies and providing input into the likely scope of supply

Provide training and mentoring to junior team members

Liaison with clients and key industry stakeholders for specific technical matters where appropriate

Maintain a high level of understanding of environmental regulations and legislation issues which could influence the business and the opportunities presented

Provide stewardship to training material, including the preparation of articles, papers, publications and presentations, participating as appropriate

Attending seminars and sites as appropriate to provide the appropriate level of support to the Technical Sales teams and development of business opportunities

Personal Specification

QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION

As a minimum will be degree qualified or greater in environmental science, environmental chemistry or other associated scientific discipline.

KNOWLEDGE

Relevant industry experience is desirable with a practical outlook.

Experience in undertaking analytical work and reviewing technical papers/reports.

Experience in leading teams and developing people.

Hold a full UK driver’s license
